What is the difference between buffalo and bull hide? Both leathers are supple and durable, however, the buffalo is a more stretchy leather and has a looser grain while the bull hide is less stretchy and has a tighter grain. So, the bull hide tends to be a bit more firm and durable for outdoor use, where the buffalo hide tends to be a bit more flexible and soft and better suited for indoor use.

Should I send in a foot tracing for sizing? You do not need to send a tracing of your foot. Please see our sizing guide to take your foot measurements and compare them with the sizing chart.

How do I figure out my size and width? Please check our sizing guide. Our moccasins are made to mold and shape to your feet and are cut to stretch in the width direction.

How should my moccasin fit? The fit of our your moccasins depends on your preference. If you want them to fit more like a shoe, then your moccasins should fit snuggly when they arrive but not hurt your feet. If you want to be able to slip in out of your moccasins really easily, then they should fit more loosely when they arrive. Remember that your moccasins are made to mold and shape to your feet and are cut to stretch in the width direction.

How can I tell if my moccasins will stretch out and mold to my feet? We recommend that you wear your moccasins around the house on a non-scuffing surface for several days for several hours at a time. After several days, you should be able to tell if your moccasins will stretch out to the correct size, or if you need to exchange them for different size.
