Excellent quality material and craftsmanship. One thing that hasn't been pointed out in previous reviews is how warm these moccasins are due to the thickness.
Recommendation to those interested would be to spend the little bit extra for bison leather.(Have a pair of LL Bean bison single thickness driving moccasins that are very flexible leather due to the inherent properties of that type of leather.)
Only regret in purchasing these (getting more cozy every time I wear them) is that I probably won't be able to justify purchasing a replacement for these, due to their quality and durability.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND Wassookeag Moccasins.

The moccasins are just what I have been looking for to replace my worn elk hide ones. The deerskin lining in these really makes them and your service was first class too.

I have big wide feet 12 1/2, EEEE. I can find EEE but no 12 1/2, have to to the next whole size. I have ordered many thinking they would stretch. Nope, too tight, send them back again.
These were expensive but they fit! I can finally relax at home, who wants pinched feet?
I am very happy1

If you are looking for a good quality & good feeling moccasin, this is the place for you. This is my first pair of moccasins ever. I'm 60+ years old, a disabled vet on a limited income. My right foot is slightly bigger than my left because of water retention due to a flesh eating disease. But I always wanted a real pair of moccasins, not a factory made shoe with a hard sole. A friend told me about this company & I decided I was going to spring for a pair.
I just got mine & have them on now. They are a little snug, but I can actually feel the leather conforming to my foot contour. You want soft & comfortable, this is it. I've had hand crafted italian shoes before, & I liked them. But the waiting over 60 years & the cost was well worth it.

I've only had them for a few days, but I'm really impressed. I've been wearing moccs for quite a few years now, but was concerned that getting a low heel version was going to be a problem with my heel slipping. So far, not a problem. The hint about ordering a 1/2 size down seems to have done the trick.
Wearing them with socks at the office looks sharp and wearing them barefoot feels great.

These moccasins are SO comfortable, and are surprisingly really cute, even with girly outfits like skirts and dresses.

I have paid a lot money for moccasins that did not fit anywhere near as good as these. Great fit, very comfortable and American made. What else could you ask for?

Finally, a hand-crafted, made in America pair of moccasins I don't have to take out a bank loan to afford. These "Wooskies" are works of art for your feet and every bit as good in quality as the other Maine-made moccasins ...I know, I have a pair of Q-D's in my closet to compare them to.
Do not hesitate to get a pair. You will be duly impressed with their quality, attention to detail and the comfortable fit that keeps getting better as you wear them. Read and heed the sizing advice especially going down the half-size if you wear a half-size shoe. The mocs are cut generous enough to wear with socks. I'm a sockless kinda guy in the summer months and, even going down a half-size, found my pair just a little too loose for my taste. The simple fix is to use the tie lace for what it is meant: to snug the mocs to your your feet. Now I have the option of loosening the strap when cooler weather arrives to wear them with socks. Perfect.
Wassookeag mocs are traditionally made; good idea to read the section on how they are crafted and about the "earthing" qualities of these moccasins when deciding to purchase.
I won't waste anymore time since my further glowing comments are all reflected in the previous reviews; I agree with them 100%.

I have been shopping for good quality moccasins for some time. I have resisted two well known brands because of price and long periods of waiting for their made to order moccasins. I finally found these and after a little debate ordered them. I thought it would be obvious why some other brands are twice the price of Wassookeag. I cannot imagine that others are any better made than these. These things are expertly assembled, buttery soft, and just plain awesome! Thank you for a great product at an exceptional price.
