These are the best! It took about 2 days to break in the leather so it conformed to my foot and now they feel perfect. I get a lot of compliments of the look as well.

I had been looking for a well-made, durable all-leather moccasin for too long. I had them as a kid. I wanted something that would hold up to outside wear, especially to hiking that would allow a good-feel of the ground: This enriches the experience of hiking in the woods. I could not find anything suitable in the larger retail outfits. Also, I have different sized feet. After finding Wassookeag online, I discussed what I wanted with Mark (owner) and he pointed me to the bull hide, triple sole canoe Moc plus a customized sizing adjustment for my feet. Since Mark's customer satisfaction policy took the fear of getting stuck with a poorly fitting purchase, I took the plunge. They were made and arrived as planned. The fit out of the box was perfect. The craftsmanship is superb. They are soft and comfortable but have a rugged feel that still allows for a good ground-feel. I am very pleased with my experience at Wassookeag and will recommend them to friends.
A True Premium Moc
I'm extremely happy with my unlined triple sole bull mocs! I must say I was not expecting the bull hide to be so lux and "buttery" - the hide feels amazing with all the strength and durability you expect from a cow hide. The craftsmanship is everything I hoped for - a quintessential "handmade" piece that has a life all its own. There's an obvious discernment as to what parts of the hide are used where throughout the construction, and that's huge. The fit was spot on. I wear an 11 almost across the board, but especially in a leather dress shoe. The standard 11 men's was perfect on me (without needing to go smaller for break-in which I was tempted to do). I didn't want them to conform completely as I'm using them more for leisure. I can slip them on and off no problem as well as tighten the laces easily to accommodate a more secure fit or adjust for thicker socks. These are ace - thanks Mark!!

Bullhide Moc
Impeccably made. I've paid more for a pair that were not of a higher quality, in fact it was a lighter weight leather so I paid more for less.
Out of the box the collar was a bit stiff the first day or two (to be expected with thick doubled over leather) but the foot bed was soft and flexible virtually no break in period. A week later they fit like a glove. I wouldn't hesitate to order another pair.

I recieved the mocs in a week which I think is great service for a handmade product. They are very high quality! When I first put them on I thought they might be too tight but after an hour they loosened up just enough to be a truly perfect fit, like another layer of skin. Being a crsftsman myself, I am grateful there are still companies and craftsmen out there doing this kind of work and providing this kind of service for a reasonable price! I believe it is really important to support people like this and I will continue to do so!
