Our most durable moccasins ever, rugged bullhide construction designed specifically for lots of outdoor use. Looking for a great all leather soled loafer or casual shoe that you can wear inside and out? This just may be the most comfortable shoe you will ever wear.
Our canoe mocs are actually triple-sole moccasins, we add a third "inner-sole" between our extra thick (8-9 ounce) buffalo hide upper and outsole, with our deerskin lining you have four layers of leather between your foot and the ground.
It just does not get any better than this, these handsome all leather moccasins will conform to your feet in splendid comfort, yet are flexible, breathable and extremely durable. You simply will not find a combination of quality, style, function and artistry to match these double-sole moccasins anywhere.
All Wassookeag Moccasins are handcrafted and constructed one at a time with good old fashioned American Craftsmanship with antique turn of the century Singer Sewing Machines, hand cut leather and genuine handsewn by skilled Maine Craftsmen for lasting years of wear and extraordinary comfort.

If you appreciate "handmade", you've come to the right place. A tad loose on first wearing, but a little tightening on the laces took care of that. I wear mine indoors/outdoors without socks; they feel great.

I advised Mark I wear Allen Edmonds size 11. These fit perfectly. Cushy, very well stitched, and handsome. Deer skin liner is like the ultimate. I would put construction quality with top European or American brands of dress shoes. These will be perfect with jeans, khakis and shorts.
I just wish Mark made shoes with a little dressier leather. I would wear them with suits. My first pair, but not my last.

I love the feel of my feet conforming with the topography of the surface of the earth. They are breaking in nicely and starting to have that glove-like feel where they are perfectly molded to the outline of my feet. Great product so far!

Here in the UK we're not exactly spoilt for choice with proper moccasins so after seeing these i had to snap them up. So after three weeks or so of waiting plus pesky customs charges I've finally got my hands and feet on and in these beauties. The craftsmanship is amazing, and quality of leather just stunning. I've yet to properly wear them but boy am i excited to (and i can't stop feeling them as the leather is so lovely). A great price for a hand crafted in America shoe and worth the wait and shipping and im positive they'll last too. Love, love, love them!!!!

Initially ordered one half size smaller than dress shoe size triple sole bull hide moc. Right foot fit was just too tight. Spoke with Mark & decided to move up in size. Also, was told that deer liner will wick away foot moisture. Decided to add deer liner to replaced mocs and SO GLAD I did. In my opinion the lined moc is much more comfortable!! I had used the initial pair inside only, so exchange was seamless. Happily paid the difference. GREAT customer service, fantastic product!! Anyone should be proud to own these exquisitely made mocs. Out of the box, they look fantastic. On feet they feel fantastic. After applying mink oil, they darken to a rich chestnut color. Still beautiful & protected from moisture. Props to Mark for his commitment to excellence in his craft and service!! Thank you!!

In my excitement on finding such a great, Maine made moccasin, I failed to note another review that said sizing is generous. That aside, the product is superb, perhaps exquisite. As a comparison, I found the quality of leather and stitching much better than those from "a high-end outdoor company in Vermont", or the local, large outdoor company in Maine. I was inspired to get them after hiking in Baxter State Park, and having nothing to put on but sandals after getting those hot boots off. Now I have to go back and try out the moccasins.

this is the second pair I purchased. I often walk outside with the first pair following which my wife cleans the soles. obviously I am not giving up wearing my moccasins outdoors so I decided to purchase a pair for the house. great slipper for the house. think I will also use the first pair as my airplane slippers they are very comfortable and easy on the feet.

I’m very impressed with your moccasins! As a First Nations person I’ve had the privilege of seeing many hand crafted moccasins over the years. I’ve seen some footwear that was more decorative for ceremonial use, but nothing built any better as far as quality of materials and construction. I’d give these bull hide, deerskin lined, triple sole moccasins five stars!
The fit was perfect, delivery time after ordered fast, and when talking to you via the phone, a very pleasant experience. I’m impressed enough that I’m ordering a second identical pair! I was as well pleased to find you will rebuild your moccasins when needed, and for a very reasonable price!
As a side note I went with your moccasins, as I wanted Earthing shoes. After a couple days of wearing them I noticed the bone spurs on my right heel were hurting a lot less. Whether it is just the comfort fit of your moccasins, the Grounding effect they provide, or a combination of the two my feet have never felt better. I’ve for years worn White Boots that are hand built for me in Spokane Washington. They are not nearly the footwear for my daily Alaskan life style that your moccasins are. I just wished you built mukluks for my winter mushing lifestyle. You have gained a loyal lifetime customer, thank you!

After applying a thin waterproofing layer on the soles I wore the mocs around the house (in and out) during a cold snowy and muddy New England winter. Washed a couple of times & lightly oiled (Neatsfoot) they are as comfy and durable as ever. In fact, I just bought another pair to rotate with the first - gives them a chance to dry out once in awhile. Love these mocs!
