Loading... Please wait...We believe our top of the line buttery soft deerskin lined buffalo hide (american bison) canoe moc is the most luxurious moccasin available on the market today.
Our canoe mocs are actually triple-sole moccasins, we add a third "inner-sole" between our extra thick (8-9 ounce) buffalo hide upper and outsole, with our deerskin lining you have four layers of leather between your foot and the ground.
It just does not get any better than this, these handsome all leather moccasins will conform to your feet in splendid comfort, yet are flexible, breathable and extremely durable. You simply will not find a combination of quality, style, function and artistry to match these triple-sole moccasins anywhere.
All Wassookeag Moccasins are handcrafted and constructed one at a time with good old fashioned American Craftsmanship with antique turn of the century Singer Sewing Machines, hand cut leather, and genuine handsewn by skilled Maine Craftsmen for lasting years of wear and extraordinary comfort.
Please see our Sizing Guide for detailed sizing information.

Outstanding moccasins made of quality materials and a great fit. I don't know how they could be better! I have long narrow feet, and I had to have a snug narrow width. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I ordered my Men's Buffalo Hide Deerskin Triple Sole Canoe Moccasins with the help of Mark. I have a high instep and wide feet. We agreed on the size and width. They arrived in about a week. When I opened the box I could not believe my eyes. I was seeing the best pair of moccasins that could be made by hand. I tried them on and they were a little snug.
I called Mark and explained the situation. Marks reply was to just send them back as I stated and I will make you another pair.
I sent them back and received my wider pair in just about a week. They fit me as if Mark had made a mold of my feet. It is like walking on air.
Mark is one of the finest business man that I have ever met. He stood behind his product and delivered a superior product , made in America. Mark is a craftsman. Wearing his moccasins is as though heaven was on your feet.
All I can say is for Quality, Service and Value Wassookeag Moccasins just stand out over all others.
Thank you from the bottom of my feet.

I recieved my order in less than a week after ordering them, much to my surprise. they were better looking than the pictures on the website. They are extremly soft, yet very durable looking. They were great to the fit, and the most comfortable moccasins I have ever owned (probably a 1/2 dozen over the years).
I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

At first glance, you may believe these Moc's are expensive, but as the saying goes " you get what you pay for" and these Moc's live-up to that adage and then some! You will not find a better Moc anywhere at any price and they are handcrafted here in the USofA!

I've been wearing slippers around my home, the majority of my life. I've owned numerous pairs, and have spent as little as $$ to $$$. Without question, these American made, American built slippers are by far, the nicest I've ever owned. I can't thank Mark enough, for what he does, and wish nothing but the best, for not only him, but those of you that owe it to yourselves, to "Get ur own pair"! I'll be ordering these custom made slippers for my sons, this Christmas.

I received my first pair of Wassookeag moccasins as a Christmas present after a year and a half of admiring them on this website. I decided to wear them for a few weeks in order to come to gather my thoughts before writing this review.
Nearly one month in, I must say that these shoes are wonderful. They are unique in build and appearance. I catch myself staring at them as they sit on the floor beside my desk nearly every day. They have a look that is not found in factory manufactured shoes. As everyone else here has said time and time again, the craftsmanship of these shoes is superior. When you hold them, you know that they will last.
I considered rating these shoes a 4 out of 5 stars rather than a 5 out of 5 because I do wish that they had some more cushion to them, especially in the heel. I understand that some people disagree and prefer a shoe in which they can "feel the ground." This, of course, is personal preference. As a person who wears dress shoes all day, I prefer to sink into a very cushioned pair of shoes. I praise Mr. Wintle for not using foam in his shoes (which provide cheap though ephemeral comfort). I'm not sure how he would add more cushion without using cheap products, but I hold out hope that there is a way.
All in all, this is an excellent product and deserves the highest rating. It feels great to support traditional manufacturing, and to realize that the old ways of doing things are sometimes quite superior.

A friend bought me my first pair of moccasins about 2 months ago. I liked them so much, I purchased a second pair for another home. I have been very pleased with how the moccasins conformed to my feet.
These is a high quality product.
