We believe our top of the line buttery soft deerskin lined buffalo hide (american bison) canoe moc is the most luxurious moccasin available on the market today.
Our canoe mocs are actually triple-sole moccasins, we add a third "inner-sole" between our extra thick (8-9 ounce) buffalo hide upper and outsole, with our deerskin lining you have four layers of leather between your foot and the ground.
It just does not get any better than this, these handsome all leather moccasins will conform to your feet in splendid comfort, yet are flexible, breathable and extremely durable. You simply will not find a combination of quality, style, function and artistry to match these triple-sole moccasins anywhere.
All Wassookeag Moccasins are handcrafted and constructed one at a time with good old fashioned American Craftsmanship with antique turn of the century Singer Sewing Machines, hand cut leather, and genuine handsewn by skilled Maine Craftsmen for lasting years of wear and extraordinary comfort.
Please see our Sizing Guide for detailed sizing information.

These are the best moccasins I have ever owned. I grew up in Maine as a boy and know moccasins. I now have all of my employees wanting also a pair.

I have ordered 3 pair over time and they are excellent and fit better than custom ones I have had made that cost twice the price of these hand made moccasins.

NO kidding!!! I purchased the moccasins for my husband for Christmas and he walks around looking down at them every day!! It's so funny, but he just loves them so much… and it's not just the looks!! He said they are the most comfortable moccasins he's ever worn and his feet have never been so warm! Let me say this… he's been wearing moccasins for over 50 years!!! Excellent +++... quality, craftsmanship and customer service… Bravo to Mark at Wassookeag Moccasins !!!

The best gift I have ever given myself. The pride and craftsmanship that went into making these is truly impressive. When you slip your feet into these you just know it is going to be great day.

I have been searching for a pair of Handmade Canoe Moccassins for several years. As soon as I saw the feature in Down East Magazine I knew i needed a pair. There is nothing like a pair of handcrafted moccasins by a Master Leather Crafter.
I ordered the triple sole deer lined Buffalo moccasin so I can wear them anywhere. I am super pleased.

Received my new Mocs within 10 days of order. Comfort and fit were perfect from the start. I ordered 1/2 size smaller than my work shoe size. The quality of craftsmanship is superb. I haven't taken them off except for bedtime since they arrived. Highly recommended. Thank you Mark!

The triple soled, deerskin lined, buffalo mocs in chocolate color meet and exceed all my expectations.
I originally ordered a size 12 (which is my normal size in shoes) and found it way to big. I don't think it's because the sizing of the moccasins are wrong, but rather that I'm used to ordering shoes too big to allow for my odd-shaped feet, whereas the mocs don't need that extra room because they conform to the foot.
The exchange was hassle-free, and I went down a full size to 11. That meant that the new pair was quite snug. Unlike some reviewers who had no break-in time, I had to work my way up gradually. But I'm glad I did it that way, because now the fit is perfect.
I decided I didn't like the white stitching, so I carefully used a permanent marker to darken it. Now my mocs have more of a classic loafer look - they are great for business casual. I wore them all week at a conference where I had to do a lot of walking (last year my feet were in agony), and they were amazing.
I'm ordering another pair in the tobacco color and getting bullhide for even better durability (even though I'm not worried about the buffalo). I'll have my current pair for business casual and the new ones for everyday knockabout.
